Atlantic Sands, Rehoboth, DE – Kacy + Tanner

I’ve had the honor of capturing many love stories over the years, but this one was different.

I remember joking with Kacy 4 years ago, as she was adamant it wouldn’t be for a decade or so until she tied the knot. Four short years later, the girl who stood by me on my wedding day asked me to capture the most important day in her life. Honored is a major understatement. I never expect to be hired by my friends. I’m obviously not the only photographer on the east coast. I even warn those I’m close to that I’ll help them pick the right photographer for them, because there are so many styles out there. I love what I do, but ultimately I want them to be in love with their story teller’s creativity and eye. After all, when their wedding day is over, all they will have is the dress, the photographs, and most importantly each other. So when Kacy insisted she wanted me, my heart melted. Not only did I get to watch these two commit to each other for life, but I get to be their professional third wheel for the day.

Kacy + Tanner partied the night away at Atlantic Sands Hotel in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The weather was calling for rain all day, but we were able to sneak in 5 minutes outside for a first look and a few outdoor portraits before we started to feel raindrops and ran for shelter. Despite the rain, these two were giggling nonstop. The pure joy they have when they are together is contagious. Nothing can separate these two. The way they look at each other is something most girls dream of when growing up.

I hope you all love reliving their day, as much as I do. Kacy + Tanner enjoy these images as you are waking up in Italy!

Danielle, thanks for the peek at such a special event, and thank you for writing your thoughts. It was a special day, and as you so aptly put pen to paper to record your thoughts, as the father of the groom I can confirm the last four years have been a demonstration of Love overcoming distance to reach a special time and place for us to see the pure joy Kacy & Tanner have when together. Thank you so very much. I look forward to having your pictures of their wedding hanging in our home.
    Sincerely,
    First time father-in-law, Scott
